Public consultation on SRFP Master Plan (29th March 2008)

Objective : To present the proposed master plan for ecotourism development in Sandakan Rainforest Park (Kebun Cina Forest Reserve) and solicit feedback.

Pitcher Plant Garden is open now!
 

The Pitcher Plant Garden has been open to public since 12th November 07. In this garden, 4 species of pitcher plants naturally occur along more than 100 meters of boardwalk which has been built to facilitate access.

Entrance fee per person: RM2 for adults and RM1 for children under 12 years of age. Free of charge for school groups. Open daily from 3.00pm to 5.30pm.

Billboard at Forestry Headquaters
 
A billboard to promote the attractive features of the Sandakan Rainforest Park as a complete package for visitors to observe biodiversity conservation, learn history, nature and botanical science and enjoy outdoor recreation, has been installed near the entrance of the Forestry Department Headquarters in Sandakan since 1st November 07.
 

 
Nature trails are open to public since 15th Dec 2007
 
 
Nature / topotype trails are now open to public. All nature lovers are welcome to trek through these trails. More than 200 trees and other plants along the trail are labelled. Along the trails, topotypes of 13 species of flowering plants can be seen. One of the trails leads to a beautiful cliff. You can hire our trained guides for RM50 per day, maximum 5 visitors per guide. Free of charge for school groups.
